With the Steadicam EFP, the 15 to 30 pound camera is mounted with a universal dovetail plate at the top of the sled. This is counterbalanced by the weight of the battery and monitor at the bottom. Thus, the natural tendency toward horizontal sway, especially in shoulder mode, is eliminated. Meanwhile the camera can be tilted up and down with mechanical fluidity. The combination of factors at work within the Steadicam EFP give new meaning to camera mobility. In addition to 360 degree fluid pans and tilts, the camera can be boomed from about waist high to overhead. Want to get higher? Climb a ladder. It will look like a crane shot. And, in the low mode configuration, the Steadicam EFP can maintain a POV inches from the ground. Traversing even the roughest terrain is never a problem. In a moving vehicle - whether worn by the operator or hard mounted to the CP Vehicle Mount - and whether racing across open country, open water or the open sky - the Steadicam EFP will hold the camera just that - steady. The Steadicam EFP does the job of a tripod - a fluid panhead - a jib arm - a dolly - dolly track - a boom - a crane - a gyroscopic mount - even a monitor. Its applications are virtually endless. Plus, the Steadicam EFP eliminates the crew, the time, the transportation and the expenses all this represents.
